Day 101 Of My Journey To $40,000/Month – Brain Fog, Cleaning My Email List & Potential New Commissions

May 26, 20264 min read

So today is Monday, May 25th, 2026.

And officially day 101 of my journey towards making $40,000 per month online.

Honestly… today was kind of weird.

Not terrible.

Not amazing.

Just one of those “off” days where your brain feels like it’s running on Windows 98 and every thought takes 3 business days to load.

I’m pretty sure dairy messed me up again.

I reintroduced it back into my diet the last few days because part of me still wants to believe I can eat pizza, ice cream, cheese and all the fun stuff without consequences.

Unfortunately my body seems to disagree with that plan.

Today I had a lot of brain fog. Low energy. Just felt mentally sluggish all day. And because of that, I decided to hold off on making another YouTube review video today.

At first I felt a little guilty about it.

But honestly?

I think one of the biggest things I’m learning on this journey is that burnout helps nobody.

Not me.

Not my audience.

Not my business.

Sometimes the smartest move is just taking a small step back so you can come back stronger tomorrow instead of forcing yourself to grind while feeling horrible.

Current Income Update

So as for the amount of money that has officially hit my bank account for the month of May so far…

I’m currently sitting at:

$3,857.46

No new commission payouts hit my bank account today unfortunately.

Not gonna lie… I definitely want that number to be higher.

A lot higher.

Because while almost $4,000 in a month online is genuinely life-changing compared to where I used to be financially…

It’s still not enough for the kind of freedom I ultimately want.

I’m trying to build a life where I’m not stressed every month.

A life where I can help my family more.

A life where I have true freedom over my time.

A life where I don’t feel trapped by money anymore.

That’s the real goal behind all of this.

Not Lamborghinis.

Not fake guru nonsense.

Just freedom.

Email List Update

Now let’s talk about my email list because something interesting happened today.

My email list dropped down to 3,861 leads.

That was actually a pretty noticeable drop.

But I’m pretty sure it happened because my funnel automations started removing unresponsive subscribers from my list.

And honestly?

I’m okay with that.

In fact… it’s probably healthier for the business long term.

A smaller list of engaged people is infinitely more valuable than a giant dead list full of people who never open anything.

I’d rather have 1,000 highly engaged leads than 50,000 ghosts sitting in an autoresponder.

So while seeing the number drop isn’t exactly fun psychologically… I’m hoping the people who remain are the “golden leads.”

The people who actually want to learn.

The people who actually want to improve their lives.

The people who might actually take action.

Because at the end of the day, engagement matters more than vanity metrics.

Potential New Commissions Incoming?

One thing that did get me excited today though…

I spent some time replying back and forth through email with a few leads who expressed serious interest in potentially buying some of my offers.

And if you’ve ever done affiliate marketing or online business before…

You already know that’s usually a very good sign.

When somebody personally replies to your emails asking questions about an offer, pricing, results, or how something works…

That usually means they’re very close to pulling the trigger.

Those are often the hottest leads you can get.

So I have a feeling there’s a decent chance I could wake up tomorrow to a new commission notification.

We’ll see.

That’s honestly one of the weirdly exciting parts about online business.

Sometimes you go to sleep with zero sales…

And wake up to money hitting your account while you were unconscious.

That still feels kind of surreal to me sometimes.

Final Thoughts

Anyway, that pretty much wraps up day 101.

Not every day on this journey is glamorous.

Some days are exciting.

Some days are frustrating.

Some days your email list shrinks.

Some days you feel sick from accidentally nuking yourself with dairy products.

And some days you just try your best to keep moving forward even when your brain feels like mashed potatoes.

But regardless…

I’m still here.

Still building.

Still learning.

Still chasing the goal.

And honestly, I hope documenting all of this helps show people that building an online income is not some magical overnight process.

It’s messy.

It’s emotional.

It’s exciting.

It’s uncertain.

But it’s also one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever pursued.
