Journey to $40,000 Per Month – Day 106: A Big Realization About My Health (And My Business)
Saturday, May 30, 2026
Welcome back to Day 106 of my journey to $40,000 per month.
Today was actually a pretty good day.
Nothing crazy happened. No massive commission notifications. No viral videos. No life-changing breakthrough.
But honestly?
Sometimes the small wins end up being the biggest wins.
And today felt like one of those days.
I Think I've Finally Figured Something Out
Over the past few days, I've been experimenting with cutting dairy out of my diet.
I wasn't expecting some kind of miracle.
But after several days without it, I have to admit something...
I feel noticeably better.
My mood feels better.
My energy feels better.
Even some of the health issues I've been dealing with seem calmer than usual.
Now, I'm not a doctor, and I'm not claiming dairy is bad for everyone. Plenty of people consume dairy every day and feel completely fine.
But for me?
I think I might finally have to face the reality that my body simply doesn't react well to it.
I've spent years trying to understand various health issues and wondering why some days I feel great while other days I feel completely off.
Maybe dairy isn't the entire answer.
But it certainly feels like it's part of the puzzle.
And honestly, that's encouraging.
When you've been trying to solve a problem for a long time, even finding one piece of the solution feels like progress.
May Income Update
As for money...
The amount that's hit my bank account so far in May is still sitting at:
$5,465.10
I'm happy with that.
Could it be better?
Absolutely.
Could it be worse?
Also absolutely.
A big portion of that income is still coming from my full-time call center job, so I always want to be transparent about that.
One thing you'll never get from me is fake screenshots, exaggerated claims, or pretending I'm making more money than I actually am.
The whole point of this blog is to show you the real journey.
The wins.
The frustrations.
The boring days.
The exciting days.
Everything.
I do know another payout is expected to arrive on Monday, so that number should climb a little higher.
But even if it didn't, $5,465.10 for one month is still something I'm grateful for.
Of course, my ultimate goal remains $40,000 per month.
But you know what's funny?
The closer you get to your goals, the more you realize how life-changing even the smaller milestones would be.
Years ago, making $10,000 per month online sounded impossible.
Today, it sounds achievable.
And honestly, hitting $10,000 per month consistently would completely change my life.
Then the next milestone becomes possible.
And then the next one.
That's how most big goals work.
They usually don't happen all at once.
They happen one step at a time.
Email List Update
My email list currently sits at:
3,853 leads
That's actually down slightly from where it was before.
But I'm not too concerned about it.
If I'm being fair, I haven't exactly been feeding the machine lately.
I haven't been running solo ads.
I haven't been running Facebook ads.
And I haven't been publishing nearly as many YouTube videos as I normally would.
So it would be pretty silly for me to expect explosive growth when I haven't been putting in the work required to create explosive growth.
Results tend to follow actions.
And lately, my attention has been pulled in a different direction.
The Question That's Been Occupying My Mind
Affiliate marketing or rank and rent?
That's the question I've been thinking about a lot lately.
For those who don't know, rank and rent is essentially building websites that generate leads for local businesses and then getting paid for those leads or renting the website to the business.
It's a completely different model than affiliate marketing.
And naturally, that raises a question:
Would I completely abandon affiliate marketing if rank and rent works out?
Honestly?
I don't think so.
Never say never.
Maybe rank and rent becomes wildly successful for me.
Maybe it ends up becoming a huge income stream.
Maybe it even surpasses affiliate marketing.
Who knows?
But I don't see myself walking away from affiliate marketing entirely.
I've spent years building my email list.
I've spent years learning this industry.
I've spent years building relationships with people who follow my content.
That's not something I want to throw away.
Besides, this doesn't have to be an either-or decision.
One thing I've learned from studying successful entrepreneurs is that many of them don't rely on a single source of income.
They build multiple streams.
If rank and rent becomes profitable, great.
If affiliate marketing continues producing commissions, great.
If another opportunity comes along that's ethical, legal, and actually works, great.
My goal has never been to marry a specific business model.
My goal has always been financial freedom.
The vehicle can change.
The destination stays the same.
My Promise To You
One thing I hope you'll notice as you follow this journey is that I'm always going to be honest about what I'm doing.
If I test something new, I'll tell you.
If something fails, I'll tell you.
If I make money, I'll tell you.
If I lose money, I'll tell you.
If I decide to pivot into a different business model, I'll tell you.
I don't want this blog to be another highlight reel where someone pretends every day is perfect.
Real life doesn't work that way.
Real businesses don't work that way.
The reality is that success usually looks a lot messier than people think.
And that's exactly what you're seeing here.
A regular guy trying different things, learning as he goes, making mistakes, and slowly building towards a bigger goal.
