Day 12: Impatience, Strategy Shifts, and Playing the Long Game
So today is Day 12 of my journey to $40,000 per month.
Overall, I feel like I’ve been pretty productive — just not in the ways I originally expected.
My last update here was Day 8, so clearly I haven’t kept up with my “daily blog post” goal the way I said I would. But on the flip side, I did manage to publish a couple of YouTube videos during that time, so I’m still proud of myself.
I also expanded my free training into seven distinct video modules.
That actually feels like meaningful progress.
My hope is that by organizing it better and going deeper, it’ll nurture my leads more effectively and make them feel more confident about taking the next step with me.
Income Update
Before I forget, here’s the income update.
The total amount of money that has reached my bank account this month is still:
$3,577.31
It’s a decent number.
But most of it is still coming from my call center job — not my online efforts. And while I’m grateful for it, I don’t want to rely on it forever.
It’s obviously nowhere near $40,000 per month.
But it’s also not zero.
And zero is where most people quit.
Lead Update
I’ve picked up a few new leads since my last update.
I’m now sitting at 79 email subscribers.
If my long-term goal is $40,000 per month — and if the “$1 per subscriber per month” rule roughly holds — then eventually I’ll need around 40,000 subscribers.
That number sounds ridiculous right now.
But every big number starts small.
So for now, I just have to keep stacking days.
The Impatient Side of Me
I know this isn’t supposed to be a get-rich-quick thing.
But if I’m being honest…
I wish I was rich right now.
Like immediately.
Maybe that’s just the human desire for instant gratification. Maybe it’s ego. Maybe it’s frustration. Probably all three.
Sometimes I read stories about hot girls becoming millionaires just selling pictures and videos of themselves and I’m sitting there thinking, “Man… that must be nice.”
Meanwhile, I’m grinding YouTube reviews, writing emails, building funnels, trying to play the long game.
It does get to me sometimes.
I’d be lying if I said it didn’t.
But I also know that if I build something real — actual skills, actual leverage, actual systems — then when I hit my goal, it’ll actually be mine.
No shortcuts.
No gimmicks.
And honestly… that probably makes it worth more.
If you’ve ever felt that tension between wanting it now and knowing it takes time, you probably understand exactly what I mean.
Rethinking My Strategy
Lately, I’ve been wondering if relying mostly on YouTube video reviews is too slow for what I want right now.
YouTube has been very good to me in the past.
But it’s time-consuming.
And at this stage of my life, I want faster feedback loops.
I’ve been considering going harder on Facebook instead.
Some of my mentors make all of their money there. Some of them operate almost exclusively on Facebook.
So I’m thinking about putting YouTube slightly on the back burner and experimenting with:
More short-form videos
Sending friend requests daily
Posting more consistently
Maybe even a few memes just to keep things fun
The goal hasn’t changed:
Get people to check out my free training → get them onto my email list → build the relationship long-term.
Facebook can be ruthless with bans, though. I’ve seen it happen to others. I haven’t experienced it yet, but it’s always a possibility.
Still, I’d rather test and adjust than overthink forever.
Final Thoughts on Day 12
So that’s Day 12.
Not perfect.
Not viral.
Not $40,000.
But forward movement.
And honestly, the biggest difference this time around is focus.
I’ve already learned what chasing shiny objects costs.
This time, I’m building something steadier.
If you’re reading this and you relate to the impatience…
If you’re stuck in a job you don’t really want to be in…
If you’re tired of watching other people “skip the line” while you’re grinding…
That’s exactly why I created my free training.
It’s something I personally built for beginners who want a realistic path toward making money online — with the long-term goal of escaping their 9-to-5 job and building real income.
No hype. No magic shortcuts.
Just the structured starting point I wish I had when I first decided to take this seriously.

If you decide to opt in, you’ll also start getting my emails where I document this journey in real time — wins, frustrations, pivots, and everything in between.
Either way, I appreciate you following along.
I’ll see you in Day 13.
