Day 121: I Completely Forgot to Write My Blog Yesterday

June 15, 20264 min read

Sunday, June 14, 2026

Today officially marks Day 121 of my journey to $40,000 per month.

And before anyone asks...

Yes, I completely forgot to write yesterday's blog post.

There wasn't some dramatic reason. No emergency. No life-changing event.

I just got so focused on what I was working on that my daily blog slipped right through the cracks.

Honestly, that's probably a good sign.

Lately I've been spending a lot of time working on the rank and rent business model I'm learning, and it's been taking up a huge amount of my attention. Between that and the chaos at my call center job yesterday, the blog simply didn't happen.

Speaking of chaos...

I couldn't even log into my work computer.

I spent a large portion of my shift working with my manager trying to figure out why I couldn't access anything. We tried multiple things, troubleshooting different possibilities, and eventually reached the point where we both just looked at each other and basically said:

"Well... I guess the tech team gets this one."

So now I have to wait until Monday to talk to IT and hopefully get everything sorted out.

As long as I still get paid, I'm not too upset about it.

The silver lining?

Even with all of that going on, I still managed to get 2 more rank and rent websites live.

I'll take that as a win.

June Income Update

As of today, the total amount that has hit my bank account for June sits at:

$2,355.85

Not bad considering we're only about halfway through the month.

Most of that income is still coming from my call center job, but my goal hasn't changed.

I want my online income to eventually surpass my employment income.

That's the entire reason I started this journey in the first place.

I don't hate having a job.

I just love the idea of building something that belongs to me.

Something that doesn't disappear because a manager changes, a company restructures, or a schedule gets shuffled around.

I'm hoping rank and rent ends up being one of the vehicles that helps me get there.

Time will tell.

Email List Update

My email list currently sits at:

2,975 leads

Yep, it's still slowly shrinking.

But surprisingly, I'm actually pretty happy about it.

Why?

Because while the total number is going down, my engagement is going up.

Lately I've been consistently seeing 30%+ open rates, which is something I'm very pleased with.

I'd rather have a smaller group of people who actually read my emails than a giant list of people who never open anything.

Quality beats quantity every time.

As I spend more time focusing on rank and rent and less time focusing on affiliate marketing, I wouldn't be surprised if the list continues to slowly decline.

And honestly, that's okay.

Businesses evolve.

Goals change.

Sometimes growth doesn't look exactly the way you expected it would.

The Race to 10 Websites

One thing that's keeping me motivated right now is something the creator of the rank and rent program said.

He recommends getting your first 10 websites live as quickly as possible.

According to him, he's never seen someone put up 10 legitimate websites and fail to make money from at least one of them.

Now, whether that ends up being true for me or not remains to be seen.

But I like the simplicity of the goal.

Right now I'm focused less on perfection and more on momentum.

Get the sites up.

Learn as I go.

Improve them later.

It's very easy to spend weeks tweaking colors, fonts, logos, and tiny details that don't really matter.

What's harder is shipping the work and getting something into the real world.

So that's the mission.

Get to 10 sites.

Learn from the results.

Keep moving.

At the moment, I still have about 7 more websites to go.

Final Thoughts

Even though yesterday felt a little chaotic, I still moved forward.

I got 2 more websites online.

I continued building skills.

I stayed focused on the long-term goal.

And that's really what this journey is all about.

Not perfect days.

Not perfect weeks.

Just continuing to move forward even when things don't go exactly according to plan.

If you're currently trying to build an online income of your own, that's probably the biggest lesson I've learned so far.

You don't need perfect conditions.

You just need enough consistency to keep taking the next step.
