Day 13: Surprise Commission, Small Wins & Staying Consistent

February 27, 20263 min read

Today is Day 13 of my journey toward $40,000 per month, and honestly… a lot of good things happened.

First off, I made a commission of $38.80.

It was from one of the funnel builders I was promoting a year or two back. I’m guessing someone renewed their subscription?

No complaints from me.

It’s funny how planting seeds sometimes pays off way later.

Lead Update

As for my email list, I’m now sitting at 82 leads — which is three more than yesterday.

Slow and steady wins the race, I suppose.

But honestly, as long as they’re quality leads with a real chance of buying something eventually, I’m happy.

Three serious people are worth more than thirty random ones.

If the long-term goal is 40,000 subscribers, then 82 is still the beginning… but it’s the beginning moving forward.

Productivity Check

I’d say today was pretty productive overall.

I watched some video modules on:

  • Blogging

  • Social media marketing

  • Funnel building

That was helpful.

I also sent out an email to my list and created a faceless AI short-form video that I’m actually pretty proud of.

On top of that, I made a couple of Facebook posts that got solid engagement.

The one thing I dropped the ball on?

Friend requests.

I told myself I would send 20–25 today… and I think I sent maybe two or three.

Not great.

I should probably fix that before I go to bed.

But at least I didn’t drop the ball on blogging.

Income Update

As far as money that has hit my bank account this month, it’s still the same as yesterday:

$3,577.31

It’s solid.

But let’s be honest — I want more.

I’m itching to make a high-ticket sale soon.

And the only way that happens is by getting more people into my funnel.

Which brings me back to the basics:

More content.
More conversations.
More visibility.

Doubts & Strategy

I still have doubts about whether this blogging + Facebook strategy is going to move the needle fast enough.

One of my mentors said this is exactly what he would do if he were starting from zero.

So I’m trying to trust the process.

But if I’m being real… I know my YouTube review strategy works.

That’s proven.

So part of me wonders if I should just double down on what I know already works.

We’ll see.

For now, I’m committing to testing this properly instead of quitting early.

I’ve made that mistake before.

Final Thoughts

So that wraps up Day 13.

Small wins.
A surprise commission.
A few new leads.
Some solid content.

And a reminder that consistency is boring… but necessary.
