Day 140: Waiting Is the Hardest Part

Today officially marks Day 140 of my journey to $40,000 per month online.

Today wasn't one of those flashy days where everything magically falls into place. There weren't any huge commission notifications or life-changing breakthroughs.

Instead, today was all about preparing for what's next.

I spent a good chunk of my day applying for more jobs on Indeed because I'm still looking for a second job. At the same time, I've been getting everything ready for what could end up being one of the biggest opportunities of the year for my online business.

Let's dive into today's update.

💰 July Income Update

So far, $72.97 has hit my bank account for the month of July.

Not bad considering we're only at the beginning of the month... but if I'm being honest, I always want that number to be bigger.

The good news is that I'm expecting another paycheck from my overnight call center job next Thursday, so that'll definitely help keep things moving in the right direction.

Every little bit helps.

📧 Email List Update

My email list is currently sitting at 2,607 subscribers.

Yep... it's still slowly shrinking.

But here's the interesting part...

Even though the total number of subscribers has been going down, my email open rates have actually been climbing lately.

To me, that's a pretty good trade-off.

I'd much rather have a smaller list full of people who actually read my emails than a massive list that's completely checked out.

That said, I definitely have plans to start growing it again.

My current strategy is to publish more YouTube review videos, continue documenting this journey, and possibly start experimenting with paid advertising again in the near future.

We'll see where it goes.

💼 The Search for Job #2

Right now, finding a second job is one of my biggest priorities.

Why?

Because I need more money.

And honestly...

Because I'm impatient.

I know I talk a lot about wanting to leave traditional jobs behind someday. If you've been following this blog for a while, you probably already know how I feel about them.

I don't dream about climbing the corporate ladder.

I dream about building something that's mine.

But here's something I've learned...

Even if a job isn't your dream, it can still be an incredibly useful tool.

A steady paycheck gives you stability.

It gives you breathing room.

It gives you money that you can invest back into your business instead of constantly worrying about whether you'll have enough next month.

That's exactly how I'm looking at it right now.

I was really hoping I'd get a call or text from one of the recruiters today.

Nothing.

Then I remembered...

Tomorrow is the Fourth of July.

There's a good chance a lot of recruiters took today off for the holiday weekend, so I'm trying not to read too much into the silence.

Looks like I'll probably have to wait until Monday.

Not going to lie...

I'm ridiculously excited.

And also incredibly impatient.

🚀 July 20 Could Be a Big Day

One thing I'm especially excited about is an upcoming affiliate ecosystem that's scheduled to launch on July 20th.

Assuming everything goes according to plan, this will become my new primary offer.

Why am I so optimistic?

Because it's being created by the same people whose previous program helped me generate over $45,000.

That's a pretty good track record.

Once it launches, I'll be emailing my subscribers, creating YouTube videos, sharing my honest experience, and documenting everything right here on this blog.

Will it outperform the last program?

I honestly have no idea.

Maybe.

Maybe not.

But that's part of the fun.

The only way to find out is to show up, put in the work, and see what happens.

So that's exactly what I'm going to do.

One Step Closer

Looking back, today probably doesn't seem very exciting from the outside.

No huge wins.

No viral moment.

No massive payday.

Just job applications...

Planning...

Preparing...

And continuing to move forward.

But if there's one thing this journey has taught me, it's that the "boring" days are usually the ones that make the exciting days possible.

You rarely wake up successful overnight.

Success is usually built from hundreds of ordinary days where you simply refuse to quit.

Day 140 is in the books.

Now let's see what Day 141 has in store.
