Day 143: My #1 Job Pick Finally Called Me (Interview Tomorrow!)
Today is Sunday, July 6th, 2026, and officially Day 143 of my journey to $40,000 per month.
And today was a pretty exciting day.
After sending out a bunch of applications on Indeed, I finally got the call I was hoping for. I was offered an interview for the job I wanted more than any other.
Seriously... this was my #1 pick.
My interview is tomorrow afternoon, and I honestly can't wait.
If everything goes well and I get the job, I'll be moving back into my old apartment and finally have my own place again. That's something I've been looking forward to for a long time.
So... fingers crossed.
July Income Update
As of today, I've had $72.97 hit my bank account during the month of July.
Not a huge number yet, but it's only the beginning of the month.
I'm also expecting another paycheck from my overnight call center job this Thursday, so that should give things a nice little boost.
Of course, I'd love for my online business to be generating a lot more than it currently is. That's still the ultimate goal.
But one thing I've learned over the past couple of years is that progress usually doesn't happen in one giant leap.
It happens through hundreds of small steps that slowly start stacking on top of each other.
Email List Update
My email list is now sitting at 2,507 subscribers.
Yes... it's still slowly shrinking.
But interestingly enough, my open rates have actually been climbing lately, which I'm really happy about.
I'd much rather have people who actually open and read my emails than a giant list full of subscribers who never engage with anything I send.
That said, I definitely want to start growing the list again.
My current plan is to create more YouTube review videos and, if everything goes according to plan, eventually start experimenting with paid advertising as well.
We'll see where that takes me.
The Possibility of Working 2 Full-Time Jobs
Now let's talk about tomorrow's interview.
I'm genuinely excited.
If I get this job, I'll officially be working 2 full-time jobs.
That's something I never imagined myself saying.
Between this new position and my current overnight call center job, I'd be on pace to earn well into 6 figures this year.
Making 6 figures has been one of my goals for years.
I just never imagined I'd reach it by working 2 full-time jobs at the same time.
Will it be easy?
Absolutely not.
It'll be around 80 hours of work every week.
A lot of people would probably ask...
"Won't you burn yourself out?"
Honestly... maybe.
I really don't know yet.
But here's the thing.
Even when I'm not working my call center job, I'm usually spending almost every waking hour trying to build my online business anyway.
Whether it's writing blog posts, making YouTube videos, sending emails, learning new skills, or testing new ideas... I'm already used to putting in long hours.
So in a weird way, this doesn't feel completely foreign to me.
The biggest difference is that this extra income could completely change the speed of everything.
I can pay down debt faster.
I can invest more aggressively into my business.
I can test more ideas.
I can afford to take more calculated risks.
And hopefully, I can accelerate the timeline toward eventually making my online business my primary source of income again.
I've also planned my schedule so I still have enough time to sleep every day.
Whether that's enough... I honestly don't know yet.
I've never worked 2 full-time jobs before.
But there's a first time for everything.
Hopefully tomorrow goes well.

One Step Closer
One thing I've realized over this journey is that success doesn't always look the way you imagine it.
Sometimes it comes from the business you've been building.
Sometimes it comes from taking a job that gives you breathing room.
Sometimes it comes from doing both at the same time.
I'm not chasing a specific path anymore.
I'm chasing freedom.
However I get there.
And if that means working harder for a season so I can create more opportunities later... I'm okay with that.
We'll see what tomorrow brings.
