Day 150: Job Interviews, Apartment Tours & A New Opportunity I'm Really Excited About

Today officially marks Day 150 of my journey to $40,000 per month online.

First off...sorry I disappeared for a couple of days.

If I'm being completely honest, I was just feeling lazy and unmotivated. It happens. Some days you're fired up and ready to conquer the world. Other days you stare at your computer wondering why your brain suddenly decided to take an unscheduled vacation.

Thankfully, today was the exact opposite.

It ended up being one of the busiest days I've had in a while, filled with job interviews, apartment tours, and some exciting updates for my online business.

So let's dive in.

Income Update

As of today, $1,782.09 has hit my bank account during the month of July.

That number went up thanks to another affiliate commission payout that landed today for $97.04.

Every little commission still puts a smile on my face.

It's always a reminder that the work I've done in the past continues paying me long after I hit the publish button.

That being said...

I'm definitely aiming a lot higher.

Next Thursday I'll also be getting another paycheck from my overnight full-time call center job, so I'm looking forward to seeing that hit my account as well.

The journey continues.

I Think My Interview Went Really Well

The biggest event today was my interview for a remote customer service position with a portable toilet company.

Not exactly the first industry most people dream about as kids...

...but honestly?

A remote job is a remote job.

The interview lasted around 50 minutes, and I honestly don't think it could have gone much better.

Both interviewers seemed genuinely friendly and engaged throughout the conversation. They reacted positively to my answers, laughed a few times, and overall just made the conversation feel natural.

One thing I was especially curious about was whether they'd be okay with me keeping my overnight call center job while working this one as well.

Surprisingly...

They didn't seem bothered by it at all.

As long as I can get enough sleep and perform well, they seemed perfectly comfortable with the idea.

That's a huge relief.

They told me they'll make their final decision by the end of the week after finishing interviews with the remaining candidates.

So now...

I wait.

I'm definitely crossing my fingers because this opportunity could be a really big step forward.

If everything works out, having 2 full-time remote jobs would give me the financial breathing room to finally move into a new apartment while also making some serious progress paying down my debt.

That would feel incredible.

Apartment Hunting Continues

After the interview I spent part of the day touring a few apartments.

Finding the right place is surprisingly exhausting.

There's always something.

One apartment has a great location but feels tiny.

Another has plenty of space but costs more than I'd like.

Another checks almost every box...except one.

Still, it's exciting because it feels like I'm getting closer.

For a long time, moving into my own place again felt pretty far away.

Now it actually feels realistic.

That's a good feeling.

A New Affiliate Program Just Opened...And I'm Genuinely Excited

Probably the most exciting business update today is that the new affiliate marketing ecosystem I've been talking about officially opened its member area.

And honestly...

It looks really impressive.

Everything feels polished, easy to navigate, and well put together.

One feature I'm especially excited about is that it includes its own built-in social network.

That might not sound like a huge deal at first...

But if you've followed my journey for a while, you probably remember when Facebook suspended my account.

Losing access to your audience overnight is stressful.

Having a community where I can actually connect with people without constantly worrying about getting banned or suspended takes a huge weight off my shoulders.

I already have my affiliate link set up and ready to go.

The official launch is coming up on July 20, so there's a lot happening over the next week.

I'm really looking forward to seeing where this goes because I genuinely think this could become my main offer going forward.

Looking Ahead

Sometimes progress doesn't happen in one dramatic moment.

Sometimes it's a bunch of smaller wins that slowly stack on top of each other.

A commission comes in.

A promising interview goes well.

You tour another apartment.

A new business opportunity opens up.

None of those things completely change your life overnight.

But together?

They move you one step closer to where you want to be.

That's what this journey has been teaching me over the past 150 days.

Just keep showing up.

Even after the lazy days.

Even after the frustrating days.

Because eventually those small steps start turning into something much bigger.
