Day 24: A Growing Email List, A New Offer, and Facebook Landmines

March 10, 20264 min read

So today is Day 24 of my journey to $40,000 per month.

It’s been a while since my last blog update, so I figured I’d catch you up on everything that’s happened since the end of February.

February Recap

I ended February with a respectable $3,577.31 reaching my bank account.

It’s not bad.

But if I want to build the life I’m aiming for, I’m definitely going to need a lot more than that.

Also, most of that income is still coming from my full-time call center job, which obviously isn’t ideal. The long-term goal is to eventually make all of my income from my online business instead.

That’s the whole reason I started this journey in the first place.

March So Far

So how is March going?

Right now I’ve made $1,810.05 that has actually reached my bank account.

Again, most of that is still coming from my call center job.

But I did earn about $300 in affiliate commissions, which is definitely encouraging.

Every little bit of progress counts.

Now the goal is simply to keep the momentum going.

Email List Growth

One thing that has grown quite a bit recently is my email list.

As of writing this post, my list now has 208 leads.

That’s a pretty big jump from where it was not too long ago.

So how did my list grow that quickly?

I’ll explain that in just a second.

A Big Change in My Business

Another big update is that one of my mentors recently launched a huge new program.

I’ve decided to make that my new main offer.

So right now my focus is simple:
get people into my free training, where I walk beginners through how to start learning how to make money online.

The $1,000 Sweepstakes Experiment

Now let’s talk about what helped grow my email list.

If you’ve been following me on Facebook, you probably already know that I recently launched a $1,000 sweepstakes campaign.

The idea is pretty simple.

I’m going to randomly choose one person to receive $1,000.

Anyone who signs up can increase their chances of winning by inviting their friends to sign up too.

And everyone who enters also:

• gets access to my free training
• joins my email list
• gets a chance to win $1,000

One of my mentors recommended the inviter software I’m using as a way to grow my email list, and the sweepstakes idea itself just kind of came to me.

At first, I wasn’t sure if giving away money was a smart move.

But then I remembered what my business is actually about.

I help people make money.

So if my business revolves around helping people make money, then why not give some away?

It actually aligns pretty well with my mission.

And if it helps grow my business in the long run, even better.

Why I Still Believe Blogging Matters

I should also apologize for not keeping up with daily blog posts like I originally planned.

If you haven’t noticed by now, consistency is definitely not one of my strongest traits.

But the more I experiment with different traffic methods, the more I realize how important it is to build things I actually control.

Just today, Facebook notified me that they were removing one of my sweepstakes posts.

Thankfully I didn’t get banned.

But it definitely got me thinking.

How long until that happens?

Marketing on Facebook can feel like walking on eggshells sometimes.

You have to watch the wording of everything you post.

Honestly, it feels less like walking on eggshells and more like walking through a field of landmines.

And that’s exactly why building things like my blog and my email list matters so much.

Those are assets I actually control.

Wrapping Up Day 24

Anyway, that’s the update for today.

My focus right now is simple:

• keep growing my email list
• keep improving my funnel
• keep testing traffic sources
• and try to stay consistent with this blog

Hopefully I’ll have another update for you tomorrow.

And if you’re reading this and thinking:

"I’d like to try making money online too… but I have no idea where to start."

That’s exactly why I created my free training.

Inside it, I break down the beginner-friendly system I’m using to build my email list, promote my offers, and work toward eventually leaving the rat race.
