Day 45: The Hardest Part No One Talks About
It’s officially day 45 of my journey to $40,000 per month…
And today wasn’t about strategy.
It wasn’t about some breakthrough tactic.
It was about something way more real…
Boredom.
Not the kind where you just scroll your phone for a bit and move on.
I’m talking about that heavy, draining kind of boredom where everything feels pointless.
The kind where even the smallest task feels like climbing a mountain.
I Almost Did Nothing Today
If I’m being honest, I didn’t feel like doing anything.
No motivation.
No excitement.
No urgency.
Just… “what’s the point?”
And this is the part nobody really talks about when it comes to building something online.
Everyone loves to show the wins.
The money.
The freedom.
But days like this?
These are the ones that actually decide whether you make it or not.
What I Did Anyway
Even though I felt like doing absolutely nothing…
I still showed up.
I pushed through that mental fog and got a YouTube video review out today.
And honestly, I’m proud of that.
Not because it was perfect…
But because I did it when I didn’t feel like it.
That’s a completely different kind of win.
Where I’m At Right Now
Let me keep it real with you.
Income: $3,476.95
Email List: 727 leads
It’s not terrible…
But it’s also not where I want to be.
And here’s the truth:
Most of that income is still coming from my call center job.
That’s the part that bothers me.
Because the whole goal here is to shift that income away from trading time for money…
And towards something that actually gives me freedom.
A Quick Reality Check About My Email List
Now you might be thinking…
“Wait, your list stayed at 727? No growth?”
Not exactly.
I did get new leads today.
But at the same time, some people unsubscribed…
And some emails got removed because they were bouncing.
And honestly?
That’s a good thing.
I don’t want a bloated list full of dead emails.
That just hurts deliverability and makes it harder to reach the people who actually want to hear from me.
I’d rather have a smaller, healthier list that actually opens and clicks.
Something That Hit Me Today
I heard something recently from a mentor that stuck with me:
“Don’t sell the offer… sell the click.”
That changed how I’ve been thinking about emails.
Because let’s be real…
Nobody wakes up excited to be “sold” something.
But they are curious.
They do click when something feels interesting… intriguing… different.
So today, I really focused on making my email more curiosity-driven.
More “you’ve gotta see this” instead of “buy this.”
It worked… okay.
Not amazing. Not terrible.
But it showed me one thing:
There’s a lot of room to improve here.
And that’s honestly exciting.
The Real Win Today
The biggest win today wasn’t money.
It wasn’t leads.
It was this:
I showed up when I didn’t feel like it.
Because the truth is…
If I only worked on this when I felt motivated,
I’d still be stuck exactly where I started.
And I don’t want that.
I don’t like where my life is at right now.
And that frustration?
That’s fuel.
If You’re Feeling Stuck Too…
If you’re reading this and you feel stuck…
Tired of the same routine
Tired of the same income
Tired of feeling like nothing’s really changing
I get it.
I’ve been there.
I’m still working my way out of it.
And if you want to see what I’m doing step-by-step…
and how I’m trying to build something that could eventually replace my job…
