Day 54: When Everything Breaks At Once (And You Keep Going Anyway)
So today is April 8th, 2026… and officially day 54 of my journey to $40,000 per month.
And honestly?
Today was one of those days where it felt like everything decided to break at the same time.
You ever have one of those?
Let’s get into it.
The Income Update (Still Holding Strong)
As of today, I’m still sitting at $1,591.82 that has actually hit my bank account this month.
No change from yesterday… and not because nothing is happening behind the scenes.
But because of something I didn’t even know existed until now:
CDR on ClickBank.
Apparently, it stands for Customer Distribution Requirement.
In simple terms… before they release certain commissions, you need at least 5 sales from 5 different people.
At first, I was like…
“Wait… what?”
But after thinking about it, it actually makes sense.
There are probably tons of people trying to game the system, so ClickBank has to protect itself somehow.
So right now, I’m just a couple sales away from unlocking those held commissions.
Not ideal… but also not the end of the world.
Just another small hurdle on the way up.
The Email Situation (My Own Mistake)
Now this one… this one was on me.
My email autoresponder temporarily paused my sending because my bounce rate spiked.
Why?
Because I imported a big chunk of my old email list all at once.
And yeah… looking back, that probably wasn’t the smartest move.
Some of those emails are outdated. Some people just aren’t interested anymore.
So what happens?
Bounces go up… and the system hits the brakes.
Lesson learned:
If you’re ever importing old leads… do it slowly.
That’s one of those things nobody really tells you until you experience it.
And I’ll be honest…
One of my biggest strengths — and weaknesses — is that I’m not very risk-averse.
Sometimes that works in my favor.
Sometimes… it gets me into situations like this.
But that’s kind of how this whole journey works.
Nobody hands you a rulebook.
You just play the game… figure things out… and adjust as you go.
The Tax Form Headache
And just to top things off…
I tried to grab a tax form today from an affiliate platform I used in the past.
Simple task, right?
Should’ve taken five minutes.
Instead…
The website didn’t recognize my Social Security number.
Then after a few attempts…
I got locked out.
So now I’m waiting on support to fix it.
And yeah… moments like that are frustrating.
Because there’s literally nothing you can do.
You just sit there… stuck… waiting.
Why I’m Pushing For $40K/Month
Days like today are actually a big reminder of why I’m doing all of this.
It’s not about Lambos or showing off.
It’s about control.
Because the truth is…
Life throws random problems at you whether you’re ready or not.
Tech issues. Money issues. Health stuff. Unexpected situations.
And from what I’ve seen in real life…
Money doesn’t solve everything.
But it solves enough problems that your life becomes a whole lot easier to manage.
I want to be in a position where:
Unexpected problems don’t stress me out
I can help the people I care about without hesitation
I’m not relying on one paycheck or one system
That’s what this journey is really about.
