Day 67: I Forgot About This… and It Paid Me Anyway

So today is Tuesday, April 21st, 2026.

And somehow… we’re already on Day 67 of this journey to $40,000 per month.

First off—yeah, I skipped yesterday’s update.

Not gonna lie, life got a little chaotic for a minute. Mostly dealing with random bank account stuff, which sounds boring… but ironically, it led to something pretty cool.

Because today?

I got paid.

A Surprise From My Past Self

I logged into my account and saw a payout come through for $221.58.

And here’s the funny part…

I completely forgot this even existed.

Like, this was from an affiliate program I promoted a while back. I hadn’t checked it in ages. If my friend didn’t remind me about it, I probably would’ve left that money just sitting there.

So yeah… shoutout to her, because my bank account is now $221.58 happier.

That brings my total for April so far to:

$4,880.38 deposited into my bank account.

Not pending. Not “maybe.”
Actually hit.

And moments like this are weirdly motivating… because it’s proof that the work you do today can still pay you later—even when you’re not thinking about it.

It really does feel like getting paid by your past self.

The Email List Is Starting to Move

Now let’s talk about the engine behind all of this…

My email list is currently sitting at 3,606 leads.

And it’s been growing pretty fast lately.

Why?

Paid ads.

I’ll be honest—I used to be skeptical about them. But seeing the volume of leads coming in now… it’s kind of hard to argue with the results.

Of course, getting leads is just step one.

Now it’s on me to actually build trust, provide value, and eventually turn some of those leads into buyers.

So far, I’ve made 2 front-end sales from this traffic.

Which might not sound like much… but in this game, that’s actually a really good sign.

Because once someone buys anything from you—even something small—it changes the relationship.

They’re no longer just a lead.

They’re a buyer.

And buyers are way more likely to buy again later.

The Part Nobody Talks About

Here’s something I wish more people understood when they’re getting into this…

Just because you make a sale doesn’t mean you instantly get paid.

Sometimes commissions sit in a holding period.

Sometimes people refund.

Sometimes you just… wait.

And yeah, that part can mess with your head a little.

But if you stick it out?

If you don’t panic and quit early?

Those delayed commissions can show up later like little surprises.

Just like what happened to me today.

Real Talk

I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I’ve “made it.”

I’m still figuring things out. Still testing. Still learning.

But I am seeing progress.

And more importantly… I can finally see a path.

A real one.

Not the “get rich overnight” nonsense… but something that actually builds over time.

Something that—if I keep going—could realistically let me walk away from the 9–5 for good.
