Day 70: The Part Nobody Talks About (When Progress Slows Down)
So… it’s Friday, April 24th, 2026.
Day 70 of this whole “let’s build a $40K/month income online” journey.
And today?
It’s one of those in-between days.
Not a huge win.
Not a big loss.
Just… real life happening in the middle of the process.
The Paid Ads Pause (Reality Check)
For a while, my paid ads were actually doing pretty well.
Like… “okay this might scale” kind of well.
But here’s the catch nobody really glamorizes —
you need cash to keep that machine running.
And right now?
I’ve officially run out of disposable income to keep pouring into ads.
So… pause.
Not forever. Just for now.
This is one of those moments where the dream bumps into reality a little bit. But instead of panicking, I’m just adjusting the game plan.
The Numbers (Let’s Keep It Honest)
So far this month, the amount that’s actually hit my bank account is:
$4,880.38
Not bad at all.
But also… not where I want to be.
I can feel that next level getting closer though.
I’ve got:
An affiliate commission that should be releasing soon
One more paycheck coming in
So realistically, I’m aiming to push past $6,000 for April.
Not life-changing yet… but definitely not nothing either.
The Quiet Work That’s Actually Working
Now here’s the interesting part.
Even though I had to pause ads…
My email list is still growing.
I’m now sitting at 3,675 leads.
And that’s coming mostly from my YouTube review videos.
Which is kind of funny, because if I’m being honest…
Those videos feel slow.
Like painfully slow sometimes.
But they’re also:
Consistent
Reliable
Always working in the background
It’s like planting seeds that just keep growing whether I feel motivated or not.
And yeah… I’ll admit it…
There are days where I feel lazy and don’t want to make them.
But every time I check the stats and see new leads coming in, I’m like:
“Alright… this actually works. Keep going.”
The Part I Don’t Love Admitting
Let me be real with you for a second.
There’s a part of me that’s just… impatient.
Like really impatient.
I don’t just want this to work eventually.
I want it to work now.
I want to skip the waiting.
Skip the grind.
Skip the “building phase.”
Just fast forward to:
Being financially free
Not needing a job
Having full control over my time
But that’s not how this works.
And deep down, I know that.
So even on the days where I feel like I’m moving too slow…
I remind myself:
I’m still moving.
And honestly?
That alone already puts me ahead of where I used to be.
Where This Is All Going
