Day 96: Facebook Banned Me… And Honestly, This Is Exactly Why I Built My Email List

May 21, 20265 min read

So today is Wednesday, May 20th, 2026.

And officially… day 96 of my journey to $40,000 per month online.

Yesterday felt pretty good.

Today?

Yeah… not so much.

One of my accounts got temporarily banned from Facebook, one of my AI blog plugins decided to break itself for no reason, and I had to spend even more money fixing tech problems instead of doing literally anything else I actually wanted to do.

Welcome to online business, I guess.

Let’s get into it.

💰 Money Update

So for the amount of money that has officially hit my bank account during the month of May so far…

I’m currently sitting at:

$3,857.46

No new commission payouts came in today unfortunately, so the number stayed the same.

Do I wish it was higher?

Obviously.

But honestly, one thing I’ve learned doing this whole online business thing is that income can feel weirdly “chunky” sometimes. Some days feel dead quiet… then suddenly you wake up and multiple commissions hit at once.

That’s why I try not to panic too much over individual days anymore.

I focus more on the bigger picture.

Momentum matters more than emotions.

And trust me… that’s easier said than done sometimes.

📧 Email List Update

My email list is now sitting at:

4,091 leads

So technically it went down a little bit.

But honestly?

That’s completely normal.

People unsubscribe.
People change emails.
People ghost your list.
People sign up for things at 2am and forget why they did it by breakfast.

That’s just part of the game.

The important thing is continuing to bring new people into your world consistently.

And that’s one of the big reasons I’m so excited about my AI-powered WordPress blog once everything is fully running correctly.

If I can get that system working the way I envision it…

It could potentially become a machine that brings me leads around the clock without relying entirely on social media.

And after today?

That idea feels even more important.

🤖 My WordPress Blog Broke Again

So yeah…

Another plugin issue.

Because apparently the internet gods looked down at me this morning and said:

“You know what would be funny?”

I swear, sometimes tech feels like owning a car that randomly catches on fire every few days.

One minute everything works perfectly.

The next minute your website starts speaking ancient curse language and nothing loads properly anymore.

This time it was another custom plugin issue connected to my AI-generated blog setup.

And honestly?

Instead of trying to play tech wizard myself and accidentally making things 10 times worse…

I just hired the same specialists who helped me last time.

Was I thrilled about spending more money?

Absolutely not.

Nothing hurts quite like watching your hard-earned money disappear into “website emergency expenses.”

But to give them credit…

These guys worked FAST.

In about 2 hours they had everything fixed and running properly again.

And honestly, that peace of mind is worth a lot.

Because one thing I’m slowly learning is this:

Sometimes trying to save money costs you more money.

Especially when you waste entire days stressed out, frustrated, confused, and clicking random buttons hoping for a miracle.

I’d rather spend my time creating content, building my email list, and growing my business.

Not rage-googling error messages for 6 hours.

🚫 Facebook Banned Me

And now for the fun part.

I woke up earlier this morning and discovered Facebook temporarily suspended my account.

Cool.

Love that for me.

Apparently it’s temporary?

Maybe.

Hopefully.

But honestly, when it comes to Meta, who even knows anymore.

Sometimes it feels like these platforms can just randomly spin a giant wheel that says things like:

  • “Reach destroyed”

  • “Account restricted”

  • “Shadowban”

  • “Suspended for existing”

And wherever the wheel lands…

Congratulations.

That’s your prize for the day.

The crazy part is I genuinely don’t even know what I supposedly did wrong.

But situations like this are EXACTLY why I’ve been so focused on building my email list, blog, and personal platforms outside of social media.

Because social media is rented land.

At any moment, a platform can change the rules, cut your reach, suspend your account, or wipe out years of work overnight.

That’s terrifying if your entire business depends on them.

But your email list?

That’s YOUR audience.

Your website?

That’s YOUR home base.

And honestly, today reminded me why building those things matters so much.

Social media is amazing for traffic.

But I never want my entire future resting in the hands of some giant tech company that doesn’t even tell me why I got flagged in the first place.

So yeah…

Facebook is currently being a headache.

But thankfully, I always believe in having a Plan B.

Actually… probably a Plan C too.

Maybe even a Plan D at this point.

Final Thoughts

Even though today was frustrating, stressful, expensive, and honestly kind of annoying…

I still feel optimistic.

Because every problem I’m dealing with right now is connected to something I’m actively building.

And I’d rather deal with the chaos of building my own future than spend the next 40 years building somebody else’s dream life while secretly dreading Monday mornings.

That’s the truth.
