Journey to $40,000/Month – Day 115 (Niches Approved!)

Today marks Day 115 of my journey to $40,000 per month online, and I finally got some news I've been waiting for.

My niche selections for Rank & Rent have officially been approved.

Honestly, I'm pretty excited about it.

Let's dive into today's update.

Current June Income

As of today, the amount of money that has hit my bank account for June is sitting at:

$337.61

Not bad considering we're still early in the month.

On top of that, my regular paycheck from my overnight call center job should be hitting my bank account this Thursday, so that number will be climbing pretty soon.

No, it's not life-changing money yet.

But one thing I've learned over the past couple years is that online income tends to grow in weird ways. Sometimes it feels like absolutely nothing is happening. Then suddenly things start stacking on top of each other and momentum kicks in.

That's what I'm working toward.

My Email List Is Shrinking... But I'm Happy

My email list is currently sitting at:

3,076 leads

Yep.

The list keeps getting smaller.

Normally that might sound like bad news.

But here's the interesting part...

My open rates have been climbing.

Lately I've been consistently seeing email open rates above 30%, which makes me very happy.

I'd rather have a smaller group of people who actually open and read my emails than a giant list of people who completely ignore me.

At the end of the day, engagement matters a lot more than vanity metrics.

As I continue shifting more of my focus toward Rank & Rent and less toward traditional affiliate marketing, I suspect my email list may continue to slowly decline.

And honestly?

That's okay.

Every business model has tradeoffs.

Right now I'm trying to build assets that can potentially generate recurring income month after month.

The Niche Approval Saga

So remember that Rank & Rent program I've been talking about lately?

Well, the creator finally reviewed my niche selections.

What finally got his attention?

Funny story.

He made an announcement inside the group looking for people interested in doing a testimonial interview.

I replied to the post and basically said:

"I don't mean to be rude, but I'm not sure I should continue moving forward in the course until my niche selections get approved. I submitted them quite a while ago."

A little while later...

My niches got reviewed.

My niches got approved.

Mission accomplished.

Maybe there's a lesson in there somewhere.

Maybe the squeaky wheel really does get the grease.

I've spent most of my life trying not to bother people.

Trying not to complain.

Trying not to make waves.

But sometimes you have to politely speak up when something important is holding you back.

Not aggressively.

Not rudely.

Just directly.

And in this case, it worked.

What's Next?

Now that my niches have been approved, the next step is pretty straightforward:

Build the websites.

After that, I'll start working on getting those sites ranked in Google.

That's where things start getting real.

Instead of watching training videos and taking notes, I'll actually be building the assets that could eventually bring in leads, phone calls, and recurring income.

My goal is to start setting up those websites tonight while I'm working my overnight call center shift.

Will they rank?

I have no idea.

Will this business model work for me?

I don't know that either.

But that's part of the journey.

You make your best educated guess, take action, gather data, and keep moving forward.

That's exactly what I'm doing.

Final Thoughts

One thing I've noticed during this journey is that progress rarely happens in a straight line.

Sometimes you're excited.

Sometimes you're frustrated.

Sometimes you're waiting around for somebody else to approve something.

And sometimes one small update suddenly unlocks the next stage of the game.

Today feels like one of those days.

The niches are approved.

The next step is clear.

Now it's time to build.

We'll see where this goes.
