Journey to $40,000/Month – Day 116 (June 9, 2026)

My First Rank & Rent Website Is Finally Happening

Today is Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, and officially Day 116 of my journey to $40,000 per month online.

Today's update is a little different because I spent most of my time diving deep into something brand new for me: Rank & Rent.

I've been hearing about this business model for a while now, but today was one of those days where things started feeling real. I already have a domain name picked out, I know the niche I'm targeting, and now it's time to actually build the website.

No more watching videos.

No more researching.

No more thinking about it.

Now it's time to do it.

And honestly, that's usually the hardest part.

June Income Update

Let's start with the numbers.

As of today, the amount of money that has hit my bank account for June sits at:

$337.61

Not bad considering we're only a little over a week into the month.

I also have my regular paycheck from my call center job coming this Thursday, so that number should be climbing pretty soon.

Would I love for it to be higher?

Of course.

But one thing I've learned on this journey is that progress is rarely a straight line.

Some months feel explosive.

Some months feel slow.

The important thing is continuing to move forward even when the results aren't showing up as fast as you'd like.

My Email List Keeps Shrinking... And I'm Weirdly Okay With It

My email list is currently sitting at:

3,052 leads

Yep.

It's been slowly going down.

A few months ago that probably would've stressed me out.

Today?

Not so much.

Here's why.

Even though the total number of subscribers is decreasing, my open rates have actually been increasing.

Lately I've been consistently seeing email open rates above 30%, which makes me incredibly happy.

I'd much rather have a smaller list of people who actually read my emails than a giant list full of people who never open anything.

Quality beats quantity.

Every single time.

As I spend more time learning Rank & Rent and less time focusing on email marketing, I wouldn't be surprised if my list continues shrinking for a while.

And honestly, that's okay.

Sometimes growth doesn't look like bigger numbers.

Sometimes growth looks like better numbers.

Building My First Rank & Rent Website

The thing I'm most excited about right now is getting my very first Rank & Rent website online.

The niche I chose is:

Tree Service

You know...

Tree trimming.

Tree removal.

Stump grinding.

All the stuff people need when a tree decides it wants to become a problem.

What's nice is that I'm targeting a city I already know very well, which should make creating content a lot easier.

The game plan is pretty simple:

  1. Build the website.

  2. Create helpful content.

  3. Get the site ranked on Google.

  4. Generate leads.

  5. Partner with local tree service companies that want more business.

At least that's the theory.

Now comes the fun part: finding out what actually happens.

One thing I've learned over the last couple years is that no business model looks exactly like it does in the sales videos.

Affiliate marketing didn't.

YouTube didn't.

Email marketing didn't.

And Rank & Rent probably won't either.

But that's okay.

I'm not looking for perfection.

I'm looking for experience.

Because every successful business I've ever seen started with somebody building their first version of something that wasn't perfect.

This website is my first version.

And that's exciting.

The Waiting Game

From what I've been taught, it typically takes around 2 to 3 months for a brand-new website to start climbing the Google rankings.

So unlike affiliate marketing where I might make a commission tomorrow, Rank & Rent is more of a delayed gratification game.

Build now.

Wait.

Improve.

Wait.

Build some more.

Wait.

Then hopefully start collecting leads.

I actually kind of like that.

It's slower.

It's less flashy.

But if it works, it creates something I can potentially rent out month after month.

That's the part that keeps pulling me toward this business model.

I've spent a lot of time chasing one-time commissions.

Now I'm becoming increasingly interested in recurring income.

Income that shows up again next month without starting from zero.

We'll see where this path leads.

Final Thoughts

If you've been following my journey for a while, thank you.

Seriously.

There are days when I feel unstoppable.

There are days when I feel confused.

There are days when I wonder if I'm making the right decision.

And then there are days like today where I'm simply excited to try something new.

This journey has never really been about making money.

At least not entirely.

It's about creating freedom.

Freedom over my time.

Freedom over my schedule.

Freedom over how I spend my life.

That's what I'm chasing.

And whether Rank & Rent becomes a huge success or a complete disaster, you're going to see exactly how it plays out right here.
