Journey to $40,000/Month – Day 134: Finally Feeling Like I'm Building Momentum

Welcome back to day 134 of my journey to building a $40,000 per month online business.
Today was one of those days where I went to bed feeling genuinely proud of myself.
Not because I hit some crazy income milestone.
Not because I had a viral YouTube video.
Just because I actually followed through on what I said I was going to do.
If you've ever struggled with consistency like I have, you know that's a victory worth celebrating.
A Quick Business Update
First, let's talk numbers.
So far, $4,127.95 has hit my bank account during the month of June.
I'm pretty happy with that.
Most of that income is still coming from my call center job, but my goal is for my online business to eventually blow past that income and become my full-time source of revenue.
The exciting part is that June isn't over yet.
I'm expecting another payout from my main affiliate program on Monday, so that total should climb a little higher before the month wraps up.
Every month feels like another small step toward replacing my job permanently.
My Email List
My email list has dipped slightly to 2,753 subscribers.
At first glance that might sound like bad news.
But honestly...I'm not too worried about it.
In fact, something much more important has been happening.
My open rates have been climbing.
I'd much rather have a smaller list of people who actually enjoy reading my emails than a giant list that ignores everything I send.
Quality beats quantity every time.
That said, I definitely want to start growing the list again.
My plan is pretty simple.
Keep publishing helpful YouTube review videos that answer questions people are already searching for. Those videos have been bringing in new visitors, and over the past couple of days I even picked up a few new leads, which is encouraging. It's a small reminder that the strategy is working.
Now it's just about doing more of what already works.
A Productive Day
Today felt great because I finally executed on the daily routine I've been trying to build.
Since my last blog update I was able to:
Publish 2 new YouTube review videos
Write 2 emails for my email list
Pick up a couple of new leads
And...keep my daily blog streak alive
That may not sound like much to some people.
But for me, this is exactly what success looks like.
Not giant breakthroughs.
Not overnight success.
Just stacking productive days together over and over again.
Yesterday I mentioned the schedule I'm trying to stick with, and I still think it's one of the simplest plans I've ever made:
Morning
1 YouTube review
Afternoon
1 daily blog update
1 email to my subscribers
Evening
1 more YouTube review
Simple.
Clear.
Repeat.
Sometimes I have a tendency to overcomplicate things.
I'll start chasing some shiny new opportunity...
Convince myself I need a completely different strategy...
Or just go with whatever I feel like doing that day.
That's probably been one of my biggest weaknesses for years.
The biggest obstacle to hitting $40,000 per month isn't YouTube.
It isn't affiliate marketing.
It isn't SEO.
It isn't the algorithm.
It's me.
It's learning how to become the type of person who follows through even when I don't feel like it.
Discipline has never come naturally to me, but I'm slowly getting better.
And honestly, I think that's one of the biggest reasons I write these daily updates.
Knowing that people are following along gives me another reason to show up tomorrow.
