Journey to $40k/Month – Day 102

May 27, 20264 min read

So today is Tuesday, May 26th, 2026… and officially Day 102 of my journey to $40,000 per month online.

And honestly?

Today was one of those “small win” days.

Not the flashy kind.
Not the “quit your job tomorrow” kind.

But the kind of day that reminds you the machine is still alive and working in the background.

Because today… I finally made another commission from my current main offer after a couple quiet days.

And weirdly enough, that tiny little “baby commission” actually motivated me a lot more than you’d think.

Current May 2026 Income Update

So as of today, the total amount of money that has actually hit my bank account for the month of May is still sitting at:

$3,857.46

No new payouts landed today unfortunately.

But I should be getting another paycheck from my call center job this Thursday, so that’ll definitely push the monthly total up a bit.

And honestly… that’s still such a strange thing mentally.

Part of my income is still coming from my regular job.

Part of it is coming from the internet.

And every single month it feels like the balance slowly shifts more and more towards online income.

That’s the dream anyway.

Not necessarily to become some billionaire influencer dude standing next to a rented Lamborghini pretending life is perfect…

But just to have freedom.

Freedom to breathe.
Freedom to create.
Freedom to wake up without instantly feeling stress about money or work.

That’s honestly what I’m chasing.

Email List Update

Now let’s talk email list growth.

My email list actually went up today to:

3,862 leads

Only 1 lead higher than yesterday…

…but hey, I’ll take it.

What actually surprised me was that I fully expected the number to go down today.

Usually every day you’ll have some unsubscribes. That’s normal.

But I guess today the number of new subscribers barely edged out the people leaving the list.

And honestly?

I’m completely fine with unsubscribes now.

That used to bother me mentally when I first started email marketing.

You feel rejected. You overthink everything. You wonder if people hate your emails.

But after a while you realize something important:

Not everyone is your person.

And that’s ok.

I’d rather have a smaller email list full of people who actually want to hear from me than a giant dead list full of people who never open anything.

The Small Commission That Saved My Mood

So yeah… today I finally got another small commission from my current main offer.

And honestly, I needed that psychologically.

The past couple days were quiet.

No sales.

No exciting notifications.

Just me refreshing stats like a caffeinated raccoon hoping something changed.

So seeing that commission pop in today honestly broke the losing streak mentally.

And I still genuinely think this is a really solid offer.

I think it could legitimately help the right person potentially make a lot of money through email marketing if they actually stick with it and put in the work.

That’s the thing people don’t always realize about making money online:

The tools matter.
The offers matter.
But consistency matters even more.

Most people quit way too early.

Like… way too early.

Usually right before something finally starts working.

Should I Start Facebook Ads Again?

I’ve also been thinking more seriously about starting Facebook ads again.

And I have to admit…

Facebook ads are honestly one of the most straightforward ways I’ve found to build an email list.

You basically spend money… and people join your funnel.

Now obviously it’s not quite that simple.

There’s targeting.
Creatives.
Funnels.
Testing.
Budget management.

And Facebook definitely enjoys taking your money sometimes while laughing in the distance.

But when it works?

It can work really well.

Part of me misses the momentum that paid traffic can create.

Organic traffic is amazing because it’s free… but it can also feel slower and less predictable sometimes.

Paid ads feel more like stepping on the gas pedal.

So maybe it’s time to experiment with that again soon.

We’ll see.

Final Thoughts

Anyway, that pretty much wraps up Day 102.

Not the biggest day financially.

Not the craziest update ever.

But honestly?

These are the days I think matter the most.

The quiet middle days.

The days where nothing looks glamorous… but you still keep showing up anyway.

Because those days are usually what separate people who eventually succeed from people who disappear.

And if you’re also trying to make money online, build more freedom in your life, or potentially escape the 9-to-5 grind someday…
