Traffic Ignition Day 24: My First Payment Hit the Bank — And Life Just Got Busy

August 26, 202610 min read

Wednesday, August 26, 2026 — Day 24 of my journey to $10,000/month with Traffic Ignition

Okay... I have some explaining to do. 😂

If you’ve been following my Traffic Ignition journey, you probably noticed I disappeared for a few days.

I promise I didn’t quit.

Actually, pretty much the opposite happened.

Life just went absolutely nuts.

Since my last update about four days ago:

  • I moved into a brand-new apartment.

  • I officially started my second full-time job.

  • And perhaps most exciting for this particular journey...

My first Traffic Ignition payment officially hit my bank account.

$67.05.

It’s obviously nowhere near my $10,000/month goal yet.

But seeing actual money from Traffic Ignition sitting in my bank account?

Yeah.

That felt pretty freaking good. 😎

So grab a coffee, energy drink, protein shake, or whatever your beverage of choice happens to be.

We have some catching up to do.

📊 Where My Traffic Ignition Journey Stands on Day 24

First, let's get the numbers out of the way.

At the time I’m writing this:

Personally recruited members: 4
Potential monthly recurring commissions: $20
Traffic Ignition money received in my bank account so far: $67.05

Again, these aren't exactly "quit your job tomorrow" numbers.

But remember...

I'm only on Day 24.

I started this experiment from scratch less than a month ago, and I'm documenting what actually happens as I go.

The wins.

The boring days.

The mistakes.

The payments.

And hopefully, eventually, the moment I hit that giant $10,000/month milestone I've been chasing.

Will I actually get there?

I don't know.

That's part of what makes this journey fun.

But I'm certainly going to give it everything I've got.

👀 And Yes... I Still Have That Fifth Spot

This is something I've mentioned before, but it's worth pointing out again.

I've personally brought four people into Traffic Ignition so far.

That means I currently still have a fifth direct position available underneath me in the 5×5 matrix.

If you've been reading these updates from the sidelines and thinking about joining me, you can check out Traffic Ignition here:

👉 Join Traffic Ignition With Me

I don't want to pretend that joining in a particular position guarantees you more money, because it doesn't. Your results will depend on a whole bunch of factors, including your activity, the activity within the matrix, purchases, qualifications, and the compensation plan itself.

But if you've already decided Traffic Ignition looks interesting and you'd like to personally join my team, I'd obviously love to have you.

And I've put together a pretty big bonus for the people who join through me.

I'll explain that in a minute.

First...

Let's talk about the rest of my crazy week.

🏠 I Moved Into My New Apartment!

This happened pretty fast.

After I got hired for my second full-time job, I sat down, looked over my finances and realized something:

I could comfortably afford to live on my own again.

With my employment income alone now clearing six figures on an annualized gross basis if I maintain both jobs, I decided it was time.

Living with Mom and Dad wasn't bad.

I actually appreciate the fact that I had somewhere I could stay while figuring everything out.

But man...

I really like having my own place.

There's just something about being able to arrange everything exactly the way you want it.

I can eat when I want.

Sleep when I want.

Make the apartment as cold as I want.

And trust me...

I like it COLD. 😂

The air conditioning in this apartment is fantastic, which means I can basically turn my bedroom into Antarctica before I go to sleep.

Absolute paradise.

I also have my own balcony where I can step outside and get some fresh air.

There's a fitness room.

A grilling area.

A pool.

And the neighborhood is ridiculously walkable.

I can walk to Target.

I can walk to my bank.

I can even walk to the place where I take fitness classes.

For the way I like to live, it's honestly pretty sweet.

There is just one problem...

I can't get too comfortable yet.

💻 The Goal Is Still $10,000/Month

As much as I'm enjoying the new apartment, I'm trying to remind myself why I started this Traffic Ignition journey in the first place.

I'm working two full-time jobs right now.

That's providing me with something extremely valuable:

predictable income.

But predictable income isn't the same thing as freedom.

If I eventually build Traffic Ignition to the point where it's consistently producing the kind of income I'm aiming for, I'd have choices I don't currently have.

Maybe I keep one job.

Maybe I leave both.

Maybe I spend more time building my online business.

Maybe I sleep until noon on a Tuesday because I freaking feel like it. 😂

That's the dream.

Not necessarily sitting on a beach drinking margaritas for the rest of my life.

I think I'd get bored.

What I really want is control over my time.

I want to wake up and decide what I'm doing that day instead of having someone else's schedule make that decision for me.

And that's why $10,000/month has become such an important milestone for this experiment.

It's not just a number.

To me, it represents freedom.

🛠️ I Also Started My Second Full-Time Job

And speaking of jobs...

I officially started job number two.

So far?

It's not bad.

I'm still in the training phase, so things are moving pretty slowly while I learn everything.

I'm basically working as a dispatcher helping coordinate repair technicians who fix people's gas meters.

It's a pretty straightforward job, but it's also necessary work.

If something goes wrong with someone's gas meter, somebody has to make sure the right person gets sent out to deal with it.

That's where we come in.

Now, I've joked plenty of times about how much I hate working normal jobs. 😂

And no, I haven't suddenly transformed into the world's biggest fan of punching a clock.

But there is something I genuinely appreciate about employment:

The predictability.

You work an hour.

You get paid for an hour.

You work another hour.

You get paid for another hour.

Simple.

Online business can be the complete opposite.

I've had times where I've worked for HOURS on something...

And made absolutely nothing.

Zero.

Nada.

Then I've had other times where I barely did anything that particular day and money showed up because of work I'd done earlier.

That's the tradeoff.

A regular job generally gives me more predictability but less upside and less control over my time.

Online business gives me less predictability but potentially much more upside and freedom.

Right now?

I'm doing both.

It's definitely not the easiest schedule in the world.

But I'm grateful that I'm currently able to balance the two strategies.

My jobs pay the bills and give me stability.

My online business is my attempt to build something bigger.

💰 And Then... My First Traffic Ignition Payment Hit My Bank Account

Okay.

Now for my favorite part of this update.

I officially received my first Traffic Ignition payment.

The transaction had been sitting there pending for a few days, and I kept checking it.

And checking it.

And checking it again. 😂

Finally...

$67.05 cleared and landed in my bank account.

From what I remember, the whole process took roughly four days.

I'll keep an eye on future payments to see whether that's typical or whether the timing varies.

But the important part for this journey is simple:

I got paid.

Not a screenshot of some number inside a dashboard.

Not "potential" commissions.

Not money I'm waiting to receive.

$67.05 actually reached my bank account.

Now let's keep this in perspective.

Sixty-seven dollars isn't changing my life.

I'm not buying a Lamborghini.

I'm not retiring.

I'm not calling my bosses and dramatically quitting over the phone. 😂

But that's not why this payment matters to me.

It matters because it's proof of progress.

Twenty-four days ago, my Traffic Ignition income was:

$0.

Now I've recruited four members, I've built some potential recurring commissions, and I've received my first actual payment.

That's movement in the right direction.

And now I want to see how far I can take this.

🚀 $67.05 Down... $10,000/Month Is Still the Target

This is the part of building an online business that I think people sometimes overlook.

Everybody wants the giant screenshot.

The $10K month.

The $50K month.

The person who seemingly became successful overnight.

But every big result has to start somewhere.

For me, right now...

Somewhere is $67.05.

Maybe I eventually hit $10,000/month.

Maybe I don't.

I'm not going to sit here and pretend I can predict the future.

What I can promise is that I'm going to keep documenting this journey as honestly as I can.

If things go amazingly well, I'll show you.

If I screw something up, I'll tell you.

If I hit a wall, you'll probably hear about that too.

And if I eventually reach that $10,000/month goal?

Well...

You're going to get to watch the entire journey from Day 1.
