Day 9: My First Traffic Ignition Commissions Are About to Become Real
Tuesday, August 11, 2026 — Day 9 of my journey to $10,000/month with Traffic Ignition
Well… today did not go according to plan. 😂
I had one main mission today:
Record my Traffic Ignition YouTube review.
The slides are finished. The review is basically ready to go. All I needed to do was pull up Canva, hit record, and start talking.
Simple, right?
Apparently my lungs had other plans.
I’ve had this ridiculously annoying cough that just refuses to disappear, and every time I tried recording, I’d end up coughing in the middle of the video.
Not exactly the polished YouTube experience I was going for.
I don’t have a fever. I don’t really feel tired or sick otherwise. It’s mostly just this persistent cough that seems determined to sabotage my recording schedule.
So instead of publishing a video filled with random coughing fits, I decided to wait.
Frustrating?
Absolutely.
But the good news is that the video itself is ready.
As soon as my voice cooperates, I basically just need to pull up Canva, read through my slides, record the video, and publish it.
And I’m really looking forward to getting this one onto YouTube.
💰 Meanwhile… My Traffic Ignition Numbers Are Moving
Even though I didn't get the video recorded today, there was some good news on the Traffic Ignition front.
Right now, my dashboard is showing:
Potential monthly recurring commissions: $20
Members recruited: 4
Now, $20/month obviously isn't my $10,000/month goal.
Not even remotely close.
But that's not really how I'm looking at it.
I'm on Day 9.
Nine days ago, this particular income stream didn't exist for me.
Now there are four people in my organization and $20 showing as potential monthly recurring commissions.
That's movement.
And I'll take movement over standing still any day.
🎉 My First Traffic Ignition Payout Could Be Coming Friday
This is probably the part I'm most excited about.
I currently have commissions from around two Pro upgrades showing as pending.
Assuming everything clears as expected, those commissions should be released this upcoming Friday.
Which means I could be about to hit a pretty cool milestone:
My first actual commissions from Traffic Ignition.
There's something different about seeing money actually hit your account.
You can spend weeks building funnels, writing emails, recording videos, creating content and staring at dashboards.
But then that first commission comes through and suddenly you think:
Okay. This is real now.
Obviously, two commissions don't mean I've conquered the internet.
But every online income stream I've ever built had to start with commission number one.
This one is no different.
🎥 Why I'm So Excited About This YouTube Review
I'm especially annoyed that I couldn't record today because YouTube video reviews have historically been one of my most effective ways of making money online.
My process is actually surprisingly simple.
I research an offer.
I create a slideshow explaining what it is, how it works, what I like about it, what I don't like about it and who I think it's appropriate for.
Then I record myself going through those slides.
Nothing particularly fancy.
But this strategy has generated a significant portion of the money I've made online over the years.
That's why getting my Traffic Ignition review published is such a big priority for me.
I've already done the hard part.
The presentation exists.
The review exists.
Now I just need my cough to leave me alone long enough to record the thing. 😂
And once that happens?
We're back in business.
🚀 I'm Still Going After $10,000/Month
If you've been following these updates, you already know the goal:
I want to build Traffic Ignition to $10,000 per month.
Do I know exactly how long that's going to take?
Nope.
And I don't want to pretend that I do.
There are no guarantees in this business, and what has worked for me in the past doesn't guarantee the same outcome with Traffic Ignition.
But I do have a strategy that has worked extremely well for me before.
I know how to create video reviews.
I know how to build an email list.
I know how to write emails.
I know how to create content.
And I've been doing affiliate marketing long enough to know that one bad day—or one annoying cough—isn't a reason to abandon the plan.
So while I'm extremely confident in what I'm building, the only thing I can really control is whether I keep showing up and doing the work.
That's exactly what I intend to do.
Day 9 isn't the finish line.
It's barely the beginning.
📱 Facebook and Instagram Have Been Giving Me Problems Too
The cough wasn't my only annoyance today.
Meta has been putting some pretty serious restrictions on my Facebook and Instagram activity.
Facebook has gotten to the point where I can't even reply to some people's messages.
That's obviously a problem when you're trying to build an online business around communicating with actual human beings.
So I decided I needed another option.
I opened a Signal account.
I like the platform so far, and it gives me another place where people can reach me directly.
So if Facebook or Instagram decides it doesn't want us talking to each other, apparently we'll just have to take the conversation somewhere else. 😂
You can find my Signal profile through the link on my homepage along with all of my other social accounts.
